At Abbey Physiotherapy, we are proud to offer you a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of physiotherapy. The clinic was established in 2005, and our friendly atmosphere and relaxing style have encouraged many of our clients to personally recommend us to friends and family.

Alison Dearden B.Physio (Hons) MCSP HPC

I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1994, becoming a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from the Royal Orthopaedic School of Physiotherapy at Birmingham University. I have also completed several modules on a masters course at Coventry University, including a module on ergonomics.

I have worked in various NHS organisations, including Lister Hospital in Stevenage, Warwick Hospital and George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton. I have been a Clinical Specialist in Back Pain, and a highly specialised physiotherapist working in Musculo-Skeletal Outpatients, Gym rehabilitation, Hydrotherapy and a Hand Therapy Unit. I have worked with various sports clubs, specialising in the treatment of sports injuries, and I regularly assist the development of physiotherapy degree students, facilitating their learning within the clinical environment.

I have recently been taking part in back pain research project which has now been completed and published.

I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1999, becoming a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy (Honours) from Coventry University.

I have worked in various NHS organisations and private practices, including Birmingham Heartlands Hospital and George Eliot Hospital in Nuneaton, and a collection of GP surgeries with the North Warwickshire region. I have been a highly specialised physiotherapist working in Musculo-Skeletal Outpatients, Gym rehabilitation, Hydrotherapy and a Hand Therapy Unit. I have also worked closely with GPs to offer physiotherapy services to the local communities, and I regularly assist the development of physiotherapy degree students, facilitating their learning within the clinical environment.

I worked as a health and safety representative in an NHS organisiation, which gave me the experience to provide risk assessments to ensure safe working environments for staff and members of the public.



Rachel Henderson

Is currently working towards her Msc at Coventry and has special interest in Pilates, including pre & post natal work.

Amanda Casey (Mandy)

Special interest in womens health and has links with local sports clubs, including Nuneaton Harriers running club.
