“This year I have completed the Moonwalk, which is an overnight walk of 26.2 miles for Breast Cancer, a mammoth task. In preparation for the walk I had been working with Catherine, who has been a great support.
She helped me with my mobility for my back, legs, ankles and feet ensuring that I was in good shape for the walk. To be honest nothing can prepare you for the enormity of this task.
After the walk I had an appointment with Catherine and it was a good job I did, I could barely walk! After 30 minutes I was able to walk better following much manipulation of the legs. I scheduled another appointment for the day after when I had my right leg strapped up to support the tendons in my foot. This was an absolute godsend, it enabled me to return to relative normal walking function when it came off 24 hours later.
Without the help of Catherine, I think I would still be hobbling along just getting by.
